2015 Freedom Festival Balloons

The morning of July the Fourth 2015 we were out the door before the sun came out in order to make it to the hot air balloon festival in Provo, Utah. We had an awesome time watching the pilots and their crews get their aircrafts ready for liftoff. We were able to walk through and observe their preparations and capture some great shots and footage. Unfortunately the weather did not permit them to fly due to a summer storm brewing, but we had a lot of fun with all of the balloons standing up all around bulldog field.

Elephants and Rafting in Thailand

In November 2014 my wife Stacy and I went on an adventure filled journey to the other side of the world… Thailand!

One of our such adventures was a 3 day trek through the jungles of Chiang Mai, Thailand. We hiked many miles and saw many beautiful and scary things (scorpions, aggressive swarms of ants, spiders eating frogs, ants killing a snake, having a baby cobra slither into my chaco’s while still wearing them…).

Yes it was a trek to remember to be sure. Our last day was a bit more relaxing- getting to ride elephants for our first time (totally awesome by the way), and being guided down a river on a bamboo raft (quite refreshing).

This video documents when we got picked up from the end of our walking portion of the trek, and the beginning of our 3rd day. Enjoy!

Opening day at Kelly Canyon

My wife and I had bought season season passes to our local ski hill which lies only 35 minutes from our home. Kelly Canyon is up the road from the Heise hot springs and a huge boulder my roommates and I used to climb in the warmer months before everyone started graduating…
But anywho, this is a video that I put together from footage that I captured using my gopro hero 3 black edition mounted on a sawed off ski pole with the gopro handlebar mount. Got the ski pole at a local thrift store for a few bucks- and it even has my name on it! (Scott ski poles)

We had to wait until just before Christmas 2013 for there to be enough snow for the lifts to run. As luck would have it- when it snowed… It dumped! There was about a foot of powder at the top of the hill- best opening day I had ever had! Put the video together to one of my favorite songs to listen to while cutting through fresh pow on the mountain. Hope you enjoy!!!
